Excessive labor is often needed to blend areas of new cavities because of CAD/CAM limitations. This creates a serious technical problem in multi-cavity molds in which the cavities will all be slightly different, depending on how well the problem areas are manually blended.

In the simplest case, after one cavity has been manually blended, we can use our proprietary digitizing and proprietary Point-to-NURBS software to give you a new CAM file that defines the blended cavity. You then use this file when cutting or burning the remaining cavities.

We can also solve your problem by taking your CAD/CAM files and making a CNC part model, possibly at enlarged scale. This model will have the blend problem. We will then manually blend the model, which will be in an easy to work material, so it will be more economical than reworking a steel cavity. You approve our blending. Then we use our proprietary digitizing and proprietary Point-to-NURBS software to give you a new CAM file that reflects the corrections we made, and defines the blended cavity.
