If you have a multi-cavity mold, or need to accurately reproduce the parting line, Ideas in 3D can help.

If the masters are not available, we will digitize the cavity, including the problem areas. Using our proprietary Points-to-NURBS software, we will create CAD files of both halves of the mold. We then will overlay the parting line as defined in the original drawings.

Now that we have a CAD file, we can go into the CAD drawing and fix the bad parting line in the CAD file. We then provide you with a CAM file which you can use to accurately redefine the parting line after welding.
