Creating new masters so you can retool a mold where the original sculpted masters are not available is routine for Ideas In 3D. We work from either the molded part or the cavity itself. Our proprietary manual point digitizing hardware is usually the most cost effective and fastest
way of collecting the cavity contours. We will use the Renishaw Cyclone system, in special cases. We then transfer the collected data to our proprietary software. This software is unique to Ideas In 3D. We are the only service that can directly convert the points we collect to NURBS
surfaces utilizing center of patch digitized control points taken from the
model in real time into our CAD software. Other systems can only create triangulated meshes, which
always create irregular edges. We can work with our new files to make any changes you need. We can change the shrink factor. We can provide you with a CNC model so you can check out the new part. We then prepare the CAM files you need to CNC your new cavities or electrodes.
